10 Fun Facts About My Friend

Hey folks! I'm going to write about a friend who I became close with this school year. I've never been classmates with him yet. Honestly, I used to look at him as this big and scary guy but I was wrong. He's actually very nice and funny. He was my seatmate in 3rd Quarter and I have to say, I had a very good time because he would always tell me jokes that are very random that would just make me laugh. This guy is also one of a kind for he is my only friend who laughs at all of my jokes no matter how CORNY they are. His name is Adrian Cheng and here are some fun facts about him.

1. He is afraid of insects and bugs.
One time, he told me that hated insects and bugs because they are disgusting. I won't disagree with him because I have to say, those tiny creatures also creep the hell out of me.

2. He doesn't like Magnum Ice Cream.
For him, it just tastes like a normal and ordinary. Nothing so special about it. He said that it doesn't really taste that good and he would prefer other kinds of ice cream.

3. He doesn't like watching movies.
He told me that he would rather do something else than watching movies.

4. He is VERY good in playing piano.
I believe that it is very hard to learn how to play the piano but he makes it look like that it's very easy to play it. Adrian is a part of my batch's praise and worship team and every time they perform, I would be very impressed with his skills in playing the piano. I think the reason why he plays it excellently because he actually learned how to play the piano when he was still 6 years old and I guess anyone would master the an instrument after playing it for 9 years.

5. He loves beef.
He loves any food that includes beef. This is probably the reason why I would always see him eating beef during lunch time.

6. He has a entomophobia. (Fear of Insects)
As I said earlier, he is very afraid of insects because it creeps him out. I thought he was just like one of those people who finds them scary but I was wrong, he actually has a phobia for bugs.

7. He hates the color purple.
He thinks that purple is unpleasant for his eyes and it looks really ugly.

8. He doesn't like Assassin's Creed.
You would always hear everyone talking about this game. They would always talk about how awesome the graphics and the storyline are but he told me that he doesn't get why everyone likes it. But I guess maybe it's because he just doesn't enjoy the concept of the game. I know my friend very well and he's not that type of guy who enjoys playing games that includes violence and gore.

9. He doesn't like texting.
He's very slow at texting and he would prefer chatting with someone on the computer.

10. The genre of music that he hates the most is heavy metal.
He doesn't like listening to songs that are heavy metal because it's a pain in the ears and they're very noisy. The genre of music that he loves the most is pop because according to him, it would always cheer him up and he would feel the vibe.

I would describe Adrian as a friend that you would really want. A friend that would always help you in times of needs, laugh at your jokes no matter how corny they are, support you in all your decisions and who would always cheer you up when you are sad. We've been close for few months but I can say that he's a great person.

To Adrian: If you are reading this, I want to thank you for being a really great friend to me. =) *brofist*

A Visit From A Special Guest

Last November 4, I can say that our club meeting was unique and different for we had a guest speaker. The guest speaker was Mrs. Patty Laurel-Filart. I don't really know anything about her but I do know that she is a professional blogger. I think that all of us were fortunate enough to actually learn from her.

Mrs. Patty Laurel shared about Blog Lovin' 101. She taught us all the things a blogger should know. First is that in blogging, we must learn how to be honest in what we write. Second is that a blogger should be careful of what to write about. He or she must think if what they are writing about can actually hurt someone. Last and the most important lesson, a blogger must learn how to love blogging. Don't force yourself to blog if you don't enjoy it because blogging will just be boring and in the end, you will grow tired of it. A blog is just something that we can have fun with and we should be stressed in thinking of what to blog about. If you will learn how to love blogging, it can actually be your source of happiness.

I am very happy that we had a guest speaker to teach us the things that a blogger should know. Wise words from a professional blogger is just what I needed so that I will be motivated to blog. I've learned so many important things from her. I've learned that I should be true to myself when blogging and that learning how to love something can actually make a difference.

Debate League

In our club meeting, we were asked to visit another club then blog about it. It was sort of unexpected and I wasn't really excited when I heard about it. But then, I was so happy when I heard that I was going to visit debate league :D! Suddenly, there was a flashback on my head about all the things that happened on my club last year which was debate league.

When my partner Zhino and I stepped into the class of debate league, it felt 100% awkward. Everyone kept on looking at us and I felt very out of place. I also didn't have the chance to talk to anyone because I had no friends there and most of the people were from grades 7-8. However, I learned lots of things from their club.

Their activity was to debate about : Resolved that having a University degree is overrated

Negative Side
- Degrees will not help you get jobs.
- Only a small percent of people who never took college degrees became successful.
- If ever a person never took a degree in college but he or she has the idea to create something, they will still need people who are educated to transmit their idea or else their idea will just go to waste.

Positive Side
- College degrees are not needed but it's with the given skill.
- K12 vocational classes are enough for people to learn new things.
- You can just learn from the internet
- First 2 years of college just review most of things lessons you studied in high school.

I liked it how the people cooperated with each other very well and how they thought of many arguements so that they can defend their side no matter what. In the end, I enjoyed visiting their club and this is one hell of a unique experience.

My Awkward Photo

I consider this as the most awkward photo in my life. You can already tell why just by looking at the outfit and the pose. At first, I was hesitating to post this because it's very embarrassing.

I'm sure all of the readers out there are wondering where did I get this weird-looking costume. Well, it's because of my THE class. We were grouped by our teacher then she tasked us to make an outfit or a garment with the use of a cartolina and my groupmates used me as the model. Later on, all of the so called "models" were asked to go in front to present the outfit and do a pose.

I had lots of awkward and embarrassing moments in my life but these moments made me who I am today. I had learned how to accept my mistakes. I had also learned that I should try to improve myself instead of just regretting the stupid things I've done before.

Best Burger Place In Town

This picture was taken at Zark's. It's one of my favorite burger joint. The burger in this picture is called the "Jawbreaker". It's a triple patty burger oozing with delicious cheese sauce and side fries. The burger is so mouthwatering that just by looking at it, you would already want to devour it so badly.

Zark's takes pride in serving the greasiest burgers in the country. As a matter of fact, their waiters have shirts with "The greasier, the better" written at the back.

I ate this for lunch and I was so full that I didn't even have to eat dinner already. This is surely the most sinful and decadent burger I've ever tasted in my life!
